Once you move away from the famous Etruscan Riviera, the coastal strip between Livorno and Piombino, to go into the interior, nature becomes wild: the roads are less and are replaced by Mediterranean vegetation which extends over kilometers. In this delightful and biologically valuable landscape is located the Alta Valle di Cecina, a still largely undiscovered area of Tuscany that opens itself with all its treasures to the visitor. The property described below is located at the foot of small medieval villages like Micciano and Libbiano, surrounded by green hills, vineyards and olive groves.

The still pristine area is mainly used for agriculture and livestock and is part of the municipality of Pomarance, about 20 km away from Volterra in the province of Pisa. It offers not only complete silence, but also panoramic views over cultivated fields and large forests, ideal for trips or walks. The coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea is not far away, Cecina is at 35 km, Siena 70 km, Pisa 80 km and Florence 110 km away. At just 7 km you can reach the nature reserve Riserva Naturale di Monterufoli, rich in minerals and of great natural beauty.

The farm includes about 70 hectares of land. Mainly wheat, oat and barley are grown here. Good wine is made from the grapes of the vineyard in the traditional way. The versatile and well-stocked vegetable garden pampers guests with fresh vegetables, as well as the rabbits and chickens of own breeding, which contribute to delicious culinary delights.

You can bring your pets, we ourselves have many cats and dogs, for some years also a boxer breeding. Thanks to the exceptional location of our farm, old paths have been re-created on our property, ideal for hiking but also for mountain biking; bikes are available on the farm for free.

We have a convention with the Centro Comunale FISER S. BARBARA of Pomarance. It offers horse riding lessons in a riding school. There are ponies for children. A riding instructor is available also for entertainment. With an adjoining horse stable.

Separate entrance. Large living/kitchen area with satellite TV and double sofa bed. The kitchen equipment includes dishwasher, gas stove, oven and refrigerator. Large bedroom with double bed, wardrobe and dresser; large twin with wardrobe and dresser. Large bathroom with shower.

The apartment is furnished in the style of "arte povera", with handmade decorations which refer to the name Olivo (Olive Tree).
